Sailing and windsurfing school
Do you want to learn to sail? Then discover the possibilities at our sailing school at the Leekstermeer; the nicest sailing school in the Northern Netherlands. Here you can take group lessons as well as private lessons. Follow a sailing course in an Optimist, Valk or in a Laser Pico. Every year we have about 500 students. We are happy to teach you the basics of sailing and windsurfing and help you improve the technique. Our instructors are ready for you in all weathers! Note: Once you have caught the sailing virus, you will not get rid of it!

Group Course Valk Zeilen
Do you want to get out on the water and learn to sail? During this 3- or 4-day group course, you will discover how to steer a Valk under the guidance of an instructor. Still in doubt? During the summer holidays, you can join the Valk Clinic on Monday afternoons and experience for yourself whether sailing is for you!
Group Course Optimist zeilen
This course is especially for children aged about 8 to 12. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will be taught daily in 2-hour blocks. The groups consist of 10 to 15 students, so everyone gets enough attention.
Sailing course in a Laser Pico
Are you interested in sailing or want to further improve your skills? Then sign up for our course in a Laser Pico. This course is intended for participants from 11 years of age. Then a sailing course with us is perfect for you! Participation is possible for children aged 11 and over. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will receive daily lessons. Lessons are given in blocks of 2 hours. The groups consist of 10 to 15 students.
Watersports Experience
Experience a new adventure on the water for 2 hours a day for 5 days. Paddle through De Onlanden in a canoe, feel the wind while windsurfing, find your balance and enjoy yourself during a sup trip, learn the basics of sailing in a Laser Pico, and discover together with the group how to sail in a Valk. Suitable for everyone from 12 years old. Guided by an instructor, you will try a new water sport every day from Monday to Friday at the end of the afternoon. Available in the May and summer holidays.
Evening sailing
Want to further develop your sailing skills and get out on the water with others? Join the sailing evenings at Cnossen Leekstermeer! Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will work on your technique and learn to master sailing better and better. The sailing evenings will take place every Wednesday evening from June onwards, starting at 19:00 (times may vary from week to week), and you decide when to join. Ideal for sailors who have already taken one or two private lessons and want to gain more experience. Booking is possible via our app.
Windsurfing course
Want to get acquainted with windsurfing or further develop your skills? Then a windsurfing course at the Leekstermeer is perfect for you! Participation is possible from about 11 years of age. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will receive daily lessons in blocks of 2 hours. The groups consist of 10 to 15 students.
Private lesson
Would you like to get acquainted with sailing or windsurfing or brush up on your knowledge before going out on the water on your own again? This is possible with a private lesson or course, under the guidance of an experienced instructor. This is done in blocks of two hours or more, including instructor and equipment. Lessons are given by appointment from April to November. For lessons in Optimist, Laser Pico or windsurfing, we have a maximum of 6 students per instructor.
